A full-colour touch panel with eight programmes across two rows — single and double espresso, single and double grind, steam, cleaning, settings and power.
- Programmes, picturedEvery function is an image on the panel. A new member of staff is trained in about thirty seconds and does not need to read anything.
- Grind and doseSingle and double dose are separate programmes with their own stored grind time, so the two baskets do not fight over one setting.
- Grinding settingsA conical burr with twenty-two steps — coarse enough for a long filter-style Americano, fine enough for a true ristretto.
- Twin thermoblockBrew and steam run on separate heaters and separate pumps, which is what makes a two-drink order behave like a two-drink order.
